Minnesota Readers Are Talking—and Loving The Morality of Money.
What a wonderful return to Minnesota! A women’s book club in Detroit Lakes. An evening with agents and readers in Ottertail. Two conversations on Your Safe Money Show. The enthusiasm for The Morality of Money made this visit especially meaningful—and reminded me how far the conversations we started at Bryan Ventures have traveled.
This is financial education for insurance professionals coming full circle: your classroom conversations became a book, and now readers are bringing their own voices to the discussion.

A Book Worth Talking About—and Ranking Milestones Worth Celebrating.
The enthusiasm at these gatherings has been accompanied by encouraging book-ranking milestones. It is exciting to see ideas shaped in our classes finding their way to readers who may never have attended Bryan Ventures.

Book rankings change. These are achieved milestones, rather than a statement of the book’s current ranking.
But the response that means the most to me is personal. Financial-services professional Dennis Beck, CLU, ChFC, wrote: “I started reading your book at noon and could not put it down. It is now 5 P.M.” That is the kind of enthusiasm an author hopes for!

Taking the Conversation to the Radio.
My Minnesota visit also included two radio conversations on Your Safe Money Show with Todd Sjöberg and Kristin Nelson on KBEK 95.5 FM. Todd and Kristin are longtime Bryan Ventures class attendees, which made this another wonderful connection between the discussions we have shared in CE and the ideas in The Morality of Money.
We brought the book’s message to the question so many people are asking: What is the best way to overcome financial fear? I appreciated the opportunity to share a conversation about understanding our choices, building a plan, and finding greater confidence in the financial decisions that shape our lives.

The Book Brought Us Together. The Conversations Made It Special.
One of the great rewards of writing this book has been hearing how readers connect its ideas to their own lives. In Minnesota, I had the opportunity to do that in person—and people’s enthusiasm for the book was wonderful to experience. Thank you to the Detroit Lakes book club, the agents and guests who joined me in Ottertail, and my friends in Mora for making this visit so memorable.
A Book Club in Detroit Lakes
On September 21, I joined a women’s book club in Detroit Lakes to discuss The Morality of Money. What a rewarding evening! The women brought their own perspectives and money concerns to the discussion, giving us the opportunity to connect the book to the decisions and worries people face in their own lives. Thank you, Lynnsey, and everyone who joined us. Your enthusiasm and willingness to share made this a highlight of my visit.
Different Problems. Same Solutions.
The women’s event inspired this video: “I Asked Women What They Really Worry About With Money.” Watch as I reflect on their concerns and the financial principles that connect them.
An Evening Together in Ottertail
On September 23, we gathered at The Woodshed in Ottertail for a book meet-and-greet. Seeing familiar faces and hearing readers’ enthusiasm for the book made the evening especially exciting. These were the same kinds of engaging exchanges I have enjoyed with agents for years—now with a book we could hold in our hands and discuss together. Thank you to everyone who came, asked questions, shared their thoughts, and helped make this gathering happen.
The most meaningful part? People are doing more than reading the book. They are talking about it—and bringing their own questions, experiences, and ideas into the discussion.
